A Message from the Directors of Opulence Bar Group
After much careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close Opulence.
When we opened our doors over four years ago, our vision was simple: to bring something different to Llanelli. We wanted to create a modern venue that offered a premium hospitality experience and add something new to the town’s hospitality scene. We are incredibly proud of everything we achieved together, but it has become clear that the concept is no longer the right fit for the current market.
Like many town centres across the UK, Llanelli continues to face significant challenges. Changing consumer habits, reduced footfall and rising operating costs have transformed the hospitality industry, meaning businesses must make strategic decisions to ensure long-term success.
This decision is one of strategy, not necessity.
We are fortunate that our wider business portfolio continues to perform strongly and, with several exciting projects on the horizon, we have chosen to focus our time, investment and energy on opportunities that offer the greatest potential for future growth.
As we look back over the past four years, what we will remember most is the people. We have had the privilege of welcoming thousands of customers through our doors and being part of so many special moments in your lives. From weddings, engagements and unforgettable proposals, to hen parties, baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, school leavers’ celebrations, business events, awards evenings, Valentine’s celebrations and Christmas parties, Opulence has been the setting for countless memories. We have laughed with you, celebrated with you and watched friendships, families and businesses come together under our roof. It has truly been an honour to play a small part in so many important occasions, and we will never take that support for granted.
To every customer who chose Opulence whether it was for a special celebration, a night out with friends or simply a drink after work, thank you. Your loyalty, encouragement and support have meant more to us than words can express. Every booking, every recommendation and every visit helped make Opulence what it became.
A special thank you must also go to every member of our team, past and present. Your hard work, passion, professionalism and commitment have been the heart of Opulence from day one. You created the atmosphere our customers loved, delivered exceptional service and represented the business with pride every single day. Without you, none of what we achieved over the past four years would have been possible, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have given.
Although Opulence is closing, this is far from the end. We remain committed to investing in Llanelli and the surrounding area, and we are excited about what comes next. We look forward to sharing our future plans with you in the near future.
Finally, thank you, Llanelli, for welcoming us, supporting us and allowing us to be part of your celebrations over the past four years. The memories we’ve created together will stay with us forever.
