County Cycles – Merlin Ride Update
Due to the ongoing wildfire situation near Rhandirmwyn, we have made the decision to alter the Merlin Ride route. This is to keep our riders safe and ensure we do not place any additional pressure on the emergency services who are bravely tackling the blazes.
Although this is not the outcome we wanted, the safety of everyone remains at the heart of our decisions.
Thankfully, dedicated volunteers are already out signing the new route. A massive thank you also goes to Myddfai Community Hall for going above and beyond in offering us the use of their hall for our food station at such short notice. We cannot thank our wonderful hosts enough for their incredible response and effort — nothing short of exceptional community spirit.
For those wanting the new route details, please bear with us while we update the current one on Plotaroute. We will email all entrants later today with the full information.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the fires.

As the situation is still ongoing, we would urge people not to travel to the area to allow firefighters and volunteers full access. Many of the local people are still displaced so common sense would be appreciated and you can visit this lovely community at another safer time.

Welsh Water have delivered lots of bottled water for anyone that needs it, it is under the shelter so please help yourselves to whatever you need
