A weekly feature on Giles Peterson’s Worldwide FM and a figurehead in the resurgence of daytime parties synonymous with British South Asian youth in the 80s and 90s, plays an integral role in the inner workings of London’s musical renaissance.
His appreciation for a wide spectrum of electronic music moving through House, Broken Beat, Funky, Breaks, Footwork, and Jungle, alongside his deep crates of Jazz, Soul, Afro-diasporic sounds and his interests as a purveyor of sounds from the South Asian diaspora has landed him shows at clubs and festivals across the country such as Glastonbury, Lost Village, We Out Here and El Dorado as well as being showcased on the first all South Asian Boiler Room lineup curated by Yung Singh where his mix was commended as one of the mixes of the year by Mixmag.
This Friday he takes the reins for alongside French DJ and Producer . Always a crowd and staff favourite, Otra has curated the perfect event to kick off our Summer programme and we’ll have the cocktails flowing from 9pm as a treat for the early birds.
