The Edinburgh is a local pub at the heart of the community located slightly off the beaten track, just off Picton High Street. Like real cask ale, quizzes, darts, live Irish session music, books and board games on the windowsill, a wide range of wines, beers and spirits but most of all good laughs and good times? Then you will love the Edinburgh, and landlord Scotty and all the staff can't wait to meet you!

It's been an interesting 20 years but, at a few weeks short of 76, I thought it time to go.
The pub will definitely reopen after a refurbishment (long overdue). I'm assured it will be a restoration, not a modernisation (apart from the toilets).
I'm hopeful the Irish session will resume.

**Updated opening hours (again)**
Sorry to mess people around but we got the confirmation of when we are allowed to open & slightly different from what we were originally told!

They are:
- Monday 23rd OPEN
- Tuesday 24th - Thursday 26th CLOSED
- Friday 27th - Monday 30th OPEN
- Tuesday 31st CLOSED for licensing decision then hopefully open as normal after that.

Just keeping you on your toes!

**Breaking news**
We can open tomorrow!! Sadly still closed Monday due to the temporary license.

Opening times are now:

- Sunday 22nd October: open
- Monday 23rd: closed
-Tuesday 24th - Sunday 29th: open
- Monday 30th: closed
- Hopefully open as usual from the 31st

**Updated opening times**

We wanted to thank everyone for the kind words of support over the last couple of weeks. It's been lovely to hear in a stressful time for the pub and wonderful to know how many people want us open again.

Unfortunately the licensing meeting has been delayed, but we do have some updated opening times:

- 27th - 29th October open as usual
- 30th October closed
- 31st October hopefully open and back to normal

We'll be back before you know it with a freshly pulled pint waiting at the bar.

Unfortunately will still be closed Monday for the next 4 weeks, but hopefully back to normal after this.

Temporary closure :(
Due to circumstances outside our control there is a delay to the pubs license being renewed. We will hopefully have this sorted by the end of next week but will have to close until then.

Sorry for any disappointment!

Here's some lovely news to brighten up your Tuesday: the Monday Irish session will be returning on the 27th September! Hooray!

The only slight change to its otherwise flawless format is that due to last orders now being at 11.00 the music, like all good things, must come to an end at 11.30 promptly.

Please continue to stay safe, and we can't wait to see the wonderful musicians (and listeners!) who make the Irish session so special back in the Eddy.

Exciting news! The Eddy is re-opening 17th May at 2PM!

It will be walk-in only and with reduced seating, so please limit group sizes to 6. We won't be seeing the return of the Irish session just yet but watch this space in the next month or so.

We can't wait to see you all!
