All of us here at the Michael Davitt CSC Liverpool wish to extend our most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends on the passing of our much beloved and long serving member, Jim Hogan.
We received the heartbreaking news over the weekend that our good friend Jim had sadly passed away after a long and gruelling battle with illness.
Jim was well known to all of us at the club and indeed anyone involved with the Irish community in the city for the last 45 years. A stalwart of our Celtic supporters club.
One of, if not the longest serving members of our CSC right from its inception in the 1980s, Jim personified everything that it meant to be a Celtic supporter. From his involvement with not just our CSC, but also with John Mitchellโs GAA and the Irish Centre, Jim dedicated so much of his life in promoting the welfare of others.
Jim has left a lasting legacy on all of us here at the club and each of us who knew him are absolutely devastated at the news of his passing. From his constant joking in the bar watching the games to lacing up his boots at 5 a side with us as recently as a couple years ago, we will immensely cherish the memories created alongside him.
Jim Hogan; a friend, a gentleman and a Celt.
Youโll Never Walk Alone.
May he Rest in eternal peace.
