It was great to return to Neidpath Castle with The Mary Queen of Scots Society. We had a fabulous tour from Stuart, the Tweed Valley Blogger and it was wonderful to see the Batik wall hangings by Monica Hannasch telling Mary's story.
If you are interested in Mary, Queen of Scots I would highly recommend joining the Society. If you are in the UK you can join events across the Country and even if you are overseas, you will receive regular updates and articles on Mary and events around her life.

What a treat to see these beautiful Outlander costumes close up before they head to London for their preview, ahead of the Bonham's auction in August. The level of detail is breathtaking. I do hope at least some go to places who will display them for others to share, and they don't all end up with private collectors.

The Frolicking Femme Fans on Day 3 of their 6 day tour. Falkland, Balvaird Castle and Drummond Castle Gardens were just a couple of our stops.

Another fabulous ancestry tour today, including a visit to the very special St Bride's Church in Douglas. It never ceases to amaze me that this tiny church is home to the tombs of some of the most important players in Scottish history, including Good Sir James (The Black) Douglas. Also hosting the oldest working clock in Scotland, gifted by Mary, Queen of Scots- it always runs 3mins fast in line with the Douglas motto "never behind"

It’s always a treat to visit Hunterston House aka Rev Wakefield’s & location for many other iconic scenes. The group then visited Glasgow University & finally the “Julia & Henry” steps where we recreated that shot!

Last week, we welcomed ten strangers to Scotland for our very first 6-day Outlander Tour of 2026… and within hours, new friendships were already beginning to form.

Drawn together by a shared love of the Frasers, the MacKenzies, and the magic of Outlander, they set off on an unforgettable journey through the landscapes, stories, and history that bring the series to life.

Over the next week, we’ll be sharing moments from their adventure — from our cosy cottages to laughter-filled evenings and everything in between.
