We're so grateful for all the support we've been shown from you all since our last post 💖

We've since been told it's looking likely to be closer to November for an opening date but swipe through to see what's been happening so far! 👷🏼‍♀️

All the furniture has been removed from the dining room and the smoke damaged ceiling has come down 🔨

All the furniture and booth seating has been removed and acroprops put up to make the ceiling safe for the rebuild 🏗

The bar has been stripped down, professionally deep cleaned and covered in protective sheeting 🧼

All of the damaged equipment has been removed, anything salvageable has been put into storage 📦

All of the alcohol has been removed from the cellar and destroyed 💔

The garden has grown its own wildflower patch 😂🌷

Work to refurbish our beloved pub finally begins tomorrow! 🙌

We can't thank you enough for your patience, support and kind words, both online and in person, over the last few months as you've been eagerly waiting for updates. It really has meant the world to us 💖

Due to circumstances beyond our control, there have been delays getting the renovation started following the devastating fire back in August 🗓

We're now working with local company, Belvin Construction, who you may have already seen making some changes around the car park recently 👀

We're hoping to welcome you all back in October. While this is a tentative date that depends on the progress of the works, we're excited to finally be moving in the right direction 🤞

We'll continue to share our progress as work gets underway. We hope to be welcoming you through the doors again soon! 🍻

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet on here recently… as many of you know, since the fire last year the pub has remained closed while we continue working behind the scenes. 🔥

If you’re missing our food, our chefs are currently cooking over at The George Inn, Langworth, the newest addition to the Ever So Sensible family, opening this Friday 🍽️

Make sure you pop in and give them a warm welcome - and we’ll keep you posted on updates from the Horse & Groom as soon as we have them. 🍻

Alicia. Assistant Manager

Alicia has worked for the company for two and a half years. She has worked at the Royal William and the Ferry Boat before coming over to the Horse and Groom 🐴

You'll find her over at the Ferry Boat in Washingborough while we're fixing up our lovely pub 🚢

Outside of work Alicia loves spending time with her family, especially her little boy and regularly plays netball 🏀

Tyler. Chef De Partie

Tyler has worked at the Horse and Groom for just over a year now.

You'll find him over at the Royal William in the kitchen.

When Tyler isn't at work he enjoys spending time with his friends and playing poker ♠️
