You’ve met Jessey… now it’s time to meet the other half of the duo helping keep things ticking over at The Witch & Wardrobe!

Whilst Jessey is often the face you’ll see around the pub, Josh is currently working mostly behind the scenes, helping get everything ready for the exciting next chapter and supporting the transition to the new operator in early July.

From systems and planning to the less glamorous jobs nobody sees, there’s plenty going on in the background to help make sure The Witch & Wardrobe is ready for what’s next.

⚠️ Beer Garden Update ⚠️

Just a quick heads-up that the upper section of our beer garden is currently closed (apart from use as an emergency exit).

We’re expecting a skip to be delivered early next week, and in the meantime this area is being used to temporarily store rubbish while we carry out some much-needed clear-up work.

The rest of the beer garden remains open as normal, and we’ll have the area back in use as soon as possible.

The good news? This is all part of some improvements we have planned, and the beer garden will be getting a new lease of life over the coming weeks. 👀✨

We’ve got plenty of ideas in the pipeline, so keep an eye on our page and watch this space!

🤘 Hi everyone!

My name is Jessey, and I’ll be looking after the pub until the next great operator is found to take on your village pub in the city!

For those who don’t know me, I also run The Plough in Ollerton, so I’m certainly not new to the pub game. Creating great community spaces is something I’m passionate about, and I’m excited to bring that energy here.

My aim is simple: to make this a fantastic place to spend time, catch up with friends, celebrate special occasions, and create lasting memories.

At the moment, we’re operating on temporary opening hours of 12pm-10pm daily, but we’re working hard behind the scenes and hope to return to normal opening hours as soon as possible.

I’ve already managed to secure some exciting offers that will be coming your way, and we’re kicking off our events programme this week too! 🎉

Keep an eye on our page over the coming days for updates, announcements, and a few surprises along the way.
