Something big is starting for grassroots music in Lichfield. 🎶

Tonight, Lichfield Arts officially launches Momentum — a bold new programme supporting developing musicians, creating new opportunities and building stronger connections across the local music scene.

Funded by Arts Council England, Momentum is designed to champion artists, venues, audiences and creative collaboration across the region — creating clearer pathways for talent while making grassroots music more accessible and connected.

The launch brings together musicians, creatives, partners and supporters for an evening of live music, conversation and shared ambition for what comes next.

This is only the beginning.

Culture should not depend on income, confidence, geography or ability.

At Lichfield Arts, accessibility is built into the way programmes are developed — from free activity and outreach, to creating welcoming spaces for people engaging with arts and culture for the first time.

Across the district, our work is about removing barriers and creating more opportunities for people to take part in cultural life.

We’re delighted to announce that is now the exclusive sponsor of the Lichfield Arts Emerging Talent Programme for 2026–2027.

This exciting partnership will help us continue creating opportunities for young creatives and emerging artists across live music, film, performance and events throughout the year.
