McPhails Update ⚠️ 14/05/2026

It’s now been just over two weeks since we temporarily closed our doors, and while we were hoping to return with better news, unfortunately we must remain closed until further notice.

We know there’s been plenty of speculation and rumours, so we wanted to keep everyone updated directly. The issue is a major electrical fault which is completely outwith our control. Specialist engineers are required to carry out the repairs, and at the moment we are still awaiting further updates and a timeline for the work to begin.

Although this isn’t the update we wanted to share, please know we are doing everything possible behind the scenes to get McPhails back open safely and as quickly as we can.

Our Monday Quiz Nights and Open Mic Nights will continue in Base Leven while we work towards reopening, and we’d love to see some familiar faces there in the meantime.

We genuinely appreciate all the support and patience, we’ve received over the last couple of weeks. We miss you all, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back through the doors of McPhails soon! 🫶

We know many of you are eager to see us reopen, and we’re working hard behind the scenes to get everything fixed as quickly as possible🙏

Power Outage Update – McPhails⚠️

We are working to resolve this situation as quickly as possible however it means we’re taking it hour by hour… day by day we hope to have everything back up and running as soon as possible. For now, this means that we remain closed until further notice

The good news is we’re making arrangements to ensure this week’s entertainment can still go ahead for the bank holiday weekend 🙌

🎤 feature Open Mic Night will still take place tonight at our sister venue Base Leven from 8pm–11pm. We’d love to see you there, come along and support some incredible local talent, hosted by the amazing Rab Thomson!

There will be a few slight changes to this weekend’s entertainment, so keep an eye out for our next post for full updates… our COUNTRY NIGHT IS STILL GOING A HEAD in full swing 🤠
