Something new is coming 🍷

The seasons are changing and we've been working hard creating something special.

We’ve been listening.
Listening to what you love, what you’d like to see more of, and the little things you’ve told us could make your visits to The Winery even better.

A few reveals with more to come -

🍷 A completely new wine list, with new bottles, new discoveries and plenty of familiar favourites.

🧀 Three new cheeses and more planned each month as specials, carefully chosen for the season and ready to find a place on your next board.

✨ A brand-new tasting experience for those with a sweet tooth, something a little different to explore, taste and enjoy.

And that’s just the beginning…

There are plenty of other new additions, seasonal favourites and a few surprises waiting for you, all designed with the autumn, winter and festive season in mind.

We’ve put a lot of thought, time and love into this one, and we genuinely can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on.

🇵🇹 SEPTEMBER WINE TASTING EVENT - DISCOVER PORTUGAL 🇵🇹

Our September wine tasting is all about one of our favourite wine countries, Portugal.

From fresh, aromatic whites to big, characterful reds, Portugal has so much more to offer than Port. 🍷

Join us on Thursday 17th September at 6.30pm for a relaxed, two-hour tasting hosted by Callum Johnson from Liberty Wines, as we explore some of the incredible wines and grape varieties Portugal has to offer.

🍾 Ever wondered how they actually make Champagne?

It’s not simply a matter of adding bubbles to wine.

Champagne begins life as a still, relatively tart base wine. Then comes the magic: a second fermentation inside the bottle itself, trapping the carbon dioxide and creating those beautiful bubbles. 🥂

But it doesn’t stop there.

The wine can spend months, sometimes years, resting on its lees, developing those delicious biscuit, brioche and toasted flavours that make traditional-method sparkling wines so distinctive.

Then there’s riddling, disgorgement, dosage, a whole lot of time, patience and craftsmanship goes into that bottle before you ever pop the cork.

At The Winery there’s always a story behind the glass.
