Remember a few months ago when we shared the story of local lad and Robin Hood regular 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲, who we’d helped support in organising a successful skydiving record attempt at Cark?
Well… he’s only gone and done it again! 😮

From the familiar surroundings of Leigh to the skies above the Arizona desert, Chris was recently invited to join an international team of elite skydivers attempting to break a World Record in Formation Skydiving.
The challenge? To beat the existing record of 108 skydivers completing three separate formations in a single skydive, set back in 2023.
And this week, they did just that!

All achieved in a single skydive, thousands of miles from home.

Quite a lot, actually.
Here at 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐨𝐝, we’ve always believed that being a proper local pub means being part of something bigger than ourselves.
It’s about community. It’s about family. It’s about supporting the people who walk through our doors, and celebrating their achievements.
Chris has lived locally all his life, and he’s been a familiar face at the Robin Hood for years, following in his dad’s footsteps.
Having supported his Cark Record Event earlier this year, we were delighted to get behind him once again and help make his journey to Arizona possible.
Because sometimes, 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 on the other side of the world.
And we reckon that’s something worth raising a glass to! 🍻

Leigh might only be a small place on the map, but there’s no limit to what people from our community can achieve.
We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in Chris’s journey, and we’ll continue to support local people doing remarkable things wherever we can.
