Our contractors have been on site since the first week of January working our reimagining of the iconic Old Horse as a Beautiful Pub. Here our founder Sam shares some information with Cool As Leicester.

Who partied like it was 1999? We did! 🎉

After an incredible festive period, there was only one thing left to do to thank our brilliant team… host them, just like they hosted our guests for a super-fun night of reward & recognition, great food, drinks, and music 🙌🏼

It was brilliant to see over 100 colleagues come together on Sunday to celebrate their hard work and achievements. Extra-special congratulations to all our award nominees and winners 👏🏼

On Monday, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming over 120 incredible team members from across our Beautiful Pubs family to our annual Festival of People celebration at the stunning Winstanley House.

The afternoon was bursting with energy — from our inspiring People Awards to the mouthwatering fusion flavours of Black Chilli, live music that had us dancing, and so much more. It was a day to celebrate, recognise, and say a huge thank you for the amazing contributions our teams make every single day — to their pubs, their communities, and to the wider hospitality industry.

Dear Guests,

On Monday, 23rd June, all of our Beautiful Pubs will be closed for the day for our annual Leadership Development Summit and our celebration of our pub teams — The Beautiful Pubs Festival of People.

If you see lights on in our pubs during the day, please don’t worry — our facilities partner is taking the opportunity to make some improvements for the benefit of both our guests and our team.

All pubs, with the exception of Knight & Garter (which is undergoing more extensive improvements), will reopen on Tuesday, 24th June at midday.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused & thank you for your understanding.

Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of hosting an event to celebrate 15 years of The Rutland & Derby as a Beautiful Pub.

It was an honour to welcome long-term guests, past management and team members, members of the pub’s supportive business community, as well as BPC partners and industry friends.

A huge thank you to our team at The R&D for their brilliant hospitality and for showcasing the recently invested-in pub so well!

Today, all of our Beautiful Pubs teams will be participating in the two-minute national silence at midday to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day, and to remember and thank those who fought for our freedom.

During this time, all pub operations will be suspended, and our colleagues will be unable to assist you. We kindly thank you for your understanding.

On Sunday, Heather, our General Manager at The Forge Inn, will be joining nearly 56,000 incredible individuals on the start line of this year’s London Marathon.

This will be Heather's third time running the London Marathon to raise funds and awareness for Children with Cancer UK

We are all incredibly proud of Heather and wish her and the rest of this year’s participants the very best of luck.
