Huge congratulations to Queniborough Members Club pool team "So Close " after their 6-3 win away at Treble One on Tuesday which means they have won Division 3 in the Melton Pool League with a match to spare. Their last match is at home next Tuesday so go along and support the team 👏👏👏👏

Queniborough Members Clubs darts teams had different outcomes to their games in the Charnwood Darts League last week. In Division 3 Queniborough Misfits followed up the 9-0 win in the opening match of the season with another great result as they beat Old Plough 3WD at Birstall 6-3. Meanwhile Queniborough Members fell to a 8-1 defeat away at Birstall RBL although the games were a lot closer than the score suggests. Both teams are at home Thursday 30th May.

Up date on local pub/club teams. On Thursday 16th May the Queniborough Members Club darts team, Queniborough Members played against Sileby 1912D at home and they lost 6-3. The clubs other team Queniborough Misfits had their game postponed until July 4th. On Tuesday night, 21st May, only one of Queniborough's 3 pool teams were in action as Horse and Grooms Queni Big Dogs went down 5-4 at home to We've Got A Bye from Hamilton Tennis Club, Melton. The four frames won came from Hollie Baker 2 frame wins, Beth Baker and Connor Bennett.
The Horse and Grooms petanque team are away at The Free Trade Inn against Free Trade 1 on Wednesday 22nd May and Queniborough Members Clubs darts teams are both playing away in Birstall on Thursday 23rd. Queniborough Misfits play Old Plough 3WD and Queniborough Members play Birstall RBL.

Another 2-2 draw in the 1990 Petanque League last night for the Horse and Groom Petanque team at home against Syston RFC Cavaliers.

Mixed night for Queniborough's pool teams last night in the Melton Pool League. In Division 3 So Close from Queniborough Members Club ran out 6-3 winners at home to Early Doors. Star player was Matt Curtis with a hat trick, John Sanderson, Craig Taylor-Bolton and Craig Peberdy won the other frames to secure the win. Also in Division 3 Grooms Growlers from the Horse and Groom narrowly lost 5-4 at home to Fur and Feather. Brendon Cupkovic also won 3 frames out of 3 with the 4th coming via Owen Cupkovic. The Queni Big Dogs, in Division 5 also lost 5-4 away against A Wing and a Prayer, their 4 frames coming from Jayden Lee 2, Connor Bennett and Holly Barker.

Queniborough Members Club sees So Close entertain Early Doors and at the Horse & Groom thd Grooms Growlers are at Jones to Fur and Feather. The Horse and Grooms other side Queni Big Dogs are away at Fur and Feather playing A Wing and a Prayer. All matches start at 8.00pm.

Busy week for Queniborough's pub & club teams this week. In the Melton Pool League the Horse and Groom had 2 teams playing. The Grooms Growlers won 6-3 away at Nice Rack in Division 3 and Queni Big Dogs lost 6-3 at home to Don't Pot Black In Anger. Queniborough Members pool team So Close lost their first match of the season 6-3 at home against Fur and Feather. In the 1990 Petanque League the Horse and Groom drew their match away at Thurmaston RBL against Legion Lassies 2-2. It was a great for the Queniborough Members Club darts teams as Division 3 team Queniborough Misfits won 9-0 away at the Top House in Thurmaston and Queniborough Members won 6-3 away at Syston Brookside B.

Another win for So Close, Queniborough Members Clubs pool team, as they beat Too Pi**ed to Pot 5-4 in the penultimate game of the Melton Pool Winter League Division 2. Also first game on their new table.
