This month’s laughter makers are:
Mick Ferry – A supremely talented and versatile performer, Mick is also an esteemed member of The Cutting Edge at the London Comedy Store; a furiously paced, topical team show in which Mick continues to hone his talent for off-the-cuff, satirical and topical comedy, wowing audiences with his spontaneous acerbic outbursts and razor sharp wit.TV credits include stand-up performances on BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Sky1’s John Bishop’s Only Joking and three series of The Comedy Store for Comedy Central.
Jack Gleadow – “A latter day Lee Evans, Gleadow has that star potential" Evening Standard. "Imagine if a great music hall comedian was catapulted into the future… Morecombe and tech-wise?" British Comedy Guide. “All-round entertainment which encompasses a full assortment of skills…has a very bright future in entertainment ahead of him” **** One4Review. “Absolute natural, an unabashed crowd pleaser” Chortle “Echoes of Norman Wisdom' BBC Humberside. “Never a dull second” ***** Voice Mag. “Has you laughing at every angle” **** Fresh Fringe
Kent Cameron – Kent Cameron is rapidly becoming one of the most compelling and memorable new acts on the UK comedy circuit. A towering, deep‑voiced Scottish presence with the heart and softness of “cottage cheese,” Kent masterfully plays with contrasts—between appearance and personality, confidence and vulnerability, sharp observations and warm, good‑natured storytelling. “Very natural on stage, brings great energy, and the audience loved him all weekend. Definitely keep bringing him back.” The Stand, Edinburgh
Alex Boardman (MC) – Alex is now one of the most sought-after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing. His free-flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances. His unique brand of “Flattery and abuse” is done with a lack of malice and a big sense of fun. Alex Boardman has performed stand-up comedy all over the world, due to his ability to interact and conjure jokes out of thin air. Before you ask, he is no relation to Stan Boardman.
