As well as a place to meet other parents and carers in your local community. I started West Leeds Mumbler because as a new mum I found it difficult to find things going on in my local area, particularly that I could walk or take a bus to. Also, I had friends in other areas of Leeds with kids but I didn't know anyone who lived just around the corner. Someone who's house I could walk to for a cuppa
and some grown up company. I needed a way to meet mums in my local community, without being that crazy lady who launched into conversation with anyone! There were so many different sources of information when I was searching for groups and activities. I was 'following' pages and 'liking' posts left, right and centre. So I thought it would be easier to have everything in one place, including somewhere where local parents and carers could chat to each other, ask each other questions and even arrange to meet up once in a while. The West Leeds Mumbler website and page does exactly that. It helps you find out what's available and connects you to other parents and carers, completely local to you. Our website launches soon.
