Leeds People's Choir Friendly mixed-voice broadly secular choir - welcoming all who wish to sing songs of joy, struggle, liberation, celebration and peace from around the world

Leeds People's Choir is friendly group of people brought together by a shared love of music and singing. Under the skilled direction of singer and experienced choir leader Jenny Goodman, Leeds People's Choir sing peaceful songs of love, hope, social justice and unity from around the world. The Choir meets on Wednesday evenings 7-9pm at the Swarthmore Centre in Woodhouse Square and on Zoom. We aim to be affordable. Termly fees are on a 'pay as you can' basis with suggested amounts of £50, £75 or £100 per term or £5/£7.50/£10 per session. Finances should not be a bar to participation so we are as flexible as we can be and welcome anyone who loves music to join our choir.

One week on from our wonderful time at Street Choirs Festival Dumfries 2026 - here we are busking Roses and Bread in the Loreburne Shopping Centre. We miss you Dumfries!

If your ever out in town and getting a taxi please please ensure if you have not pre booked your taxi ensure this is the plate the car has. Some private hire cars will try to sneak down munches street and burns statue through the night and if they stop and shout you into their car please do not be fooled. Double check the back of their car and if it's not green don't get in ( unless you have pre booked )
Just been made aware of a private hire vehicle collection customers from mucnhes street on Saturday night and charged the passenger £32 for their trip which should have been no more than around 15. If your getting a taxi the driver will give you an idea of a price before you set off. Always ensure you remember the number plate of car and the rear taxi plate as well as the driver taxi badge don't let these types of drivers out you off there are plenty honest genuine drivers out there and plenty who certainly won't rip you off like this.
