Until we physically reopen, you can welcome the new year with the best artisan Italian meats and cheeses platter delivered to your door. All our meats are gluten and lactose free, quality meat should not contain them, and our cheeses are lactose free. And you know we are all about quality. Serves 4 to 6 people.

Hope you are all well and safe. I haven't posted here for a while but I haven't stopped working behind the curtains, Ipsum Vinoteca will come back, don't know form or shape yet but we will be back. Meanwhile, in the last few weeks we had quite a few of you ordering from Italyabroad.com - Italian Wine & Food saying that they scanned the web looking for the wine and other products we used at Ipsum, from our olive oils to our balsamic vinegar, and could not find them until they came across talyabroad.com without knowing that both businesses were born out of the same passion for great Italian food and wine and the range offered were exactly the same, with Italyabroad.com importing directly from Italian producers. Here another article about and that make plenty of sense and we said and done from day 1. The latest craze is , precisely wood oven pizza, it is not the oven that makes the pizza, it is the dough, the olive oil, the tomato sauce, the mozzarella and lastly the ingredients. Had a pizza that tasted vinegary? Cheap ingredients.

It wasn't on our menu, when we had it as special we called them "pasta al ragu'" using Chitarra homemade pasta simply because a proper ragu takes hours to make and lot of ingredients and preparation, now Italians are fighting back....

We often like to think we’re already well-acquainted with Italian culture when we visit Italy, but as the locals often like to remind us, we’re not.

Today the "to let" signs have gone up in what was once Ipusm Vinoteca, it is sad day for me, I feel robbed, I have been robbed, they took all the stock, the equipment, I have been victim of a broken justice system where only the rich can afford to defend their rights and my former landlords. Ipsum vinoteca is not dead yet though. They won a battle, they are winning, but the war is far from being over, and karma has a thousand ways to show itself, so for the time being I want to thank all of you for supporting us in these last 4 years and I wish you all the best and if you see me around dont be afraid of saying hello.
