Day 1 Moto GP trip to Barcelona
Friday night me and dad checked out
which was excellent. I’ve been a fan for years and to see the little brewery and tap room was great. Lovely place friendly staff and toilets reminiscent of original with all the beer labels covering the walls .
Next was
A nice little tap room but a bit quiet. People are missing out on this one.
Finally a little pub called humble beer perfect name.
A good selection of beers. A cool can wall similar to one I created in lockdown 😂

Today was York 10k
York personal best
43 minutes 7 seconds.
4th course PB this year
As an asthmatic runner, beer and pizza fan.
One of the more scenic 10ks I take part in. In a city I have many connections with working/ friends and fun.
Last year I hit a 45 min race which I was hugely disappointed with. So after analysis I realised weight and lung strength was my big draw back. If I run past you I may sound like a dieing ox.
Today I can’t say I was my lightest after splurges for my birthday but my lung strength is much better. My running ability is better and I had three important factors
1- I was in a good place I was focused I was happy and ready and my routine was followed.
2- I was prepped. My running trainers are epic, my clothes fit and don’t rub and I’m not too cold or warm.
3- My body is overall in a better position, even when I’m training badly. Having a few cheeky beer days. Splurging on a takeaway after a non running week. I still average 2/3 gym days or runs a week.

To earn your pleasures, mine being beer get running haha.

After working my birthday for the first time ever and as Lucy was busy busy working lates. Everyone busy I took my self on a mini adventure to Sheffield a easy 30min train and 25 min walk.
There lovely taproom is a cool space with game machines food and even a ridiculous screen for sporting events.
I got to try 3 beers and the winner winner chicken burger. All excellent.

While away we discovered a cool little place called “The Irish Pub” in Rethymno.

Honey moon gone 1 week of work complete and training has restarted.
The first run while my chest infection pi**es off was ok. Step 1 to fitness.
Surprises me every time how much fitness I loose each time I get one.

Pace 4:38 so 30 seconds off my next PB goal.
3 pauses and inhaler usage. Could of been worse.

The last day of the honey moon and I’m trying the last of my beer find from

Yellow donkey 5% pale ale
It’s lovely and you get an old school bitter pale ale but not too bitter.
In a cool little stubby bottle, shame no cans to take home though.

If you ever get over to or find this beer. If we come back I’m visiting the brewery. The wife has been warned.

1 week of marriage!!!
Usually a place I post about beer and exercise and the odd bit of interesting if I don’t forget. But I need to shout about last Saturday.
The most amazing day of my life and the best party of maybe 150+ lives.

Today I ran the
Being a short beer fan with asthma, my running is all about health and earning the nice things in life.
Todays run is 6 days before my wedding to the amazing so I’m also ensuring I look good in my wedding suit. Lol
42 minutes dead a new on a route that is hillier then you think. 9th kilometre was hell. But that sprint finish so worth it.
My is saying I did 41.31 so bring on Leeds abbey dash for my new PB.

Without that high intensity fun music I couldn’t of achieved that.
