13 Years! 🎉

What a great time it has been and an even greater time to have a special 13th Anniversary b**r released especially for this occasion🍺

This b**r means a lot to us as it is an amazing appreciation of our building, our values and the good tasting b**r we serve.

Thank you to everyone who has come in and to all those new, welcome to the family!

Please do come in and give it a try while it is on our taps and in our fridges ✨

Here comes our second winter with Fratello’s at the helm of the flax stores kitchen. I could go on about how good our relationship has gotten, how ace the food is, how innovative some of the specials of been or more. Instead I'd say, if you're in Leeds this Christmas/winter with work or mates get yourself booked in for a few pizzas - we will have news on a special sooner rather than later.

Pizza is just good, and it's even better when you're booked in, nice tasting flight maybe and all your best pals around you.

Heritage Open Days 2026 Brewery Tour🍺

We had the brilliant Josh from Thackray Museum of Medicine join our wonderful tour guide Owen for a special heritage day brewery tour last weekend

From medical remedies in b**r, to tasting a variety of b**r styles, this tour was full of interesting insights into Leeds brewing history and medical practices within b**r.

Swipe to the end to watch a short a snippet from the tour 🍻

🤘Dark & Wild Sessions 2026🤘

Like every great band does at some point in their career, Dark & Wild is going on hiatus for the year. But fear not, the void is being filled. 🕳️

This Bonfire Night, across the UK, we’ll be hosting Dark & Wild Sessions. This is our scaled back celebration of all things stout and sour. To honour the release of this year’s b**r, we can at least tell you we’ve got some Tripping Animals Brewing Co.®️ b**rs on the way over to celebrate.

There’s plenty more to be announced soon, keep an eye out for details. 👀

STEIN TIME?

As the season begin to change there is a delicate changing pace. We begin to search for that cosy jumper. Film nights get spookier.
And the connoisseur will hunt b**r's closest equivalent to a pumpkin spice latte: o glorious Marzens.

This od our Oktoberfest Marzen. It sits at a proud and sessionable 4.7%. Rye bread and pumpernickel with a clean crisp finish.

But I don't have to sell it to you. Look how happy Casey is. That's the kind of joy only superb dark seasonal l***r in an unreasonable glass can bring. Pouring now.

Twas 3 months till Christmas, when all through the house
Dad “didn’t want a present”, not even a new computer mouse,
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
A voucher to NORTHERN MONK REFECTORY AND GARDEN 🌸 he’d soon be drinking there 🍻
