We've got some friends coming over… and they're bringing food! 🍸

On Wednesday 11th November, we're joining forces with the lovely lot for a night of cocktails and small plates.

And there's an even better reason to get involved. We'll be raising money for supporting children affected by war and conflict.

Good food, good drinks and a chance to do some good while we're at it. What's not to love?

Orange for October! 🍊🍷
This month’s W**e Club took on a Halloween twist with Jack from Barrique Fine W**es guiding us through three very different orange w**es:

🍊 11 Pinos Orange Macabeo 2024 – Vega Tolosa, Manchuela
🍊 The Orange Point 2023 – Artisans Vignerons de Naoussa, Greece
🍊 Textura 4 Naturalment Brisat 2024 – Jordi Miró, Terra Alta

Plenty of tasting, a few new favourites discovered and of course, our usual end-of-night quiz with the winner getting to choose their favourite bottle to take home!

Farrands x Hey Palu x Bramble

A huge thank you to Hey Palu & Bramble for making the trip down from Edinburgh and taking over the bar for one night only, and to Hennessy for making it all happen 🥃

And thank you to everyone who joined us earlier in the day for the Hennessy tasting and Alex Palumbo’s seminar, and everyone who packed the place out for the takeover that evening.

Leeds, you were brilliant.

This Tuesday, 6th October, here’s the plan:

12:30pm Welcome drinks
1–2pm Hennessy tasting with Emily Chipperfield
2–3pm ‘How & Why to Open a Bar’ with Alex Palumbo
4pm Bar opens as usual
6pm Hey Palu x Bramble takeover begins
8–11pm Hip Hop DJ

The daytime sessions are open to everyone and first come, first served. Pop in for one, stay for both or join us later for the takeover.

No tickets, no bookings. Just come down.

Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin - Ceylon Arrack - Jasmine - Yuzu - Salt

Floral, citrus and umami. Charlie’s take on her favourite drink, the Dirty Martini with inspiration coming from somewhere a little more personal. The top notes of the perfume she wore on her wedding day.

Technically a Nowhere cocktail but with a story like that, Charlie reckons it sits somewhere between Somewhere // Nowhere.

Hennessy Tasting & Hey Palu Seminar - 6th October 🥃

We’re starting the day with two sessions for anyone who wants to get a little deeper into the world behind the bar.

At 1pm, Moët Hennessy Spirit Ambassador Emily Chipperfield will be joining us for a Hennessy tasting, followed at 2pm by Hey Palu’s Alex Palumbo with his seminar, ‘How and Why to Open a Bar’.

Drawing on years of opening and running bars in the UK and internationally, Alex will be talking through the ideas, numbers, realities, mistakes and everything else that goes into turning an idea for a bar into the real thing.

Both sessions are open to everyone and first come, first served, whether you work in the industry, are thinking about opening your own place one day, or are simply curious.

Then from 6pm, we hand the bar over to Hey Palu & Bramble!
