bar have invited us down to deck their halls tonight and sprinkle some of our famous Leeds joy!

Dariush, Melissa and our resident scouse, Dan (scouse sounding.. he is from The Wirrel) are coming in hot with frosty Christmassy bevs from 5pm till Midnight

3 of our favourite winter bevs from past and present menus are making one last appearance outside of Leeds for now.

***WHAT A NIGHT***

This last month is getting pretty emotional now

Last night was epic, full bar, full hearts, empty tattoo gun

So many hardcore regulars, ex and current staff getting permanent tatts in the bar whilst sipping on banging drinks is a core memory.
We will always remain good friends until the bar reopens its doors again but until that point, seeing you guys in the street or other bars down the line and remembering where you were when that tattoo was etched will always make us smile.

Huge respect to the toppest tier of dudes and artist for having a 6 hour wait list in 30 minutes.

We could seriously do this event forever with this guy.
Back to back to back to back tattoos after his day shift at the studio

Set the scene,

Its The Watermark 5th Birthday
The theme is Dungeons & Dragons
People are dressed as Fair Maidens, Dragons, Hobbits, Pixies, Elves and the like
& .bar are slingin' old world, fantasy beverages

In the corner sits a DEMON -
His only goal of the night was to capture as many souls and leave his mark on their skin as possible (and drink a couple dranks and boogie)

But the city of Leeds uno reversed his demonic ass...
The queue to get tattood went along the wall and onto a list.
Back 2 back 2 back 2 back he etched his way through everyone who was smart enough to come first until he ran out of needles

He loved it, you loved it. The fairest priced tattoos with a drink in hand until there was nothing left to give.

BUT TONIGHT!!!! (you could feel us building up to something there right)

THE FAMOUS DEMONIC DANCING TATTOOIST RETURNS!!!

Its our MotherLuvin Xmas Industry Party tonight!

Open from 6pm. The team have developed a last round of delicious bevs using the range from Highball Brands.

Dj on all evening.

We wont milk the "iTs tHe LaSt oNe" all the time. But for realsies...

This is the last time we are doing this Monday industry party and FOR SURE, until someone else takes the idea, the last time you can have a drink whilst this absolute wizard inks you up at the same time.

***SUNDAY ART EXHIBITION LAUNCH***

ITS FINALLY HERE!

Trying something new in the bar starting this Sunday. Our first of our monthly art exhibitions.
Swing by this Sunday for an afternoon appreciating local artist 'Raginie Duara' as we dress the bar in her work.

This will be the first month of many to come where we provide our walls as a platform for local artists to exhibit and even sell their work with 100% of the proceeds going to the artist. This event is a great opportunity to mingle with fellow art enthusiasts, meet the artists behind the masterpieces and also meet with us if you are wanting to get yourself booked on the walls.

A bit about the artist this month:
Raginie's artistic identity is firmly rooted in her bold and vibrant approach to colour, whether it's through expressive portraits or capturing the dynamism of bustling cityscapes. Raginie's creative journey has been a continuous exploration, drawing inspiration from an array of role models, each contributing their unique brushstroke to her artistic palette. The journey is an ongoing narrative, a testament to her passion for growth, and a tribute to the power of artistic expression.

Happy Hour will run until 8pm on exhibition Launch days.

Come grab a drink and take a look around the bar. Maybe one of the pieces would suit an empty wall in your house?

This is Megan. Like the car, only not spelt the same

Megan is a fiery French phenomenon.

When not in the bar slinging drinks and serving smiles she is usually in the nearest bar drinking rum or in her kitchen working on homemade cocktail ingredients.

She is usually the first person you see and hear as you enter the bar "Helllloooooooo" *french accent*

Megan has been with us just over 2 months now but feels like she has been here forever. We are really excited to see how she develops within this bar as she possesses a hunger for knowledge and creativity.

If you want to be her friend, start talking about your love for rum and she will be locked in.

***LOOKING FOR ARTISTS***

Are you or do you know of a local artist/photographer in Leeds that would be interested in selling and showcasing artwork in our bar?
We are looking to host regular exhibitions of Leeds based artists, with our walls as the canvas, to display and sell pieces over the month. 0% commision taken by ourselves, all we require is for the work to be cohesive with our space.

Over the years we have had a handful of artists paint murals and hang their art on the walls and we really want to drive forward with this as a regular feature of the bar.

It would be great exposure and an opportunity for sales with no costs or commission for you to worry about. A solid launch night for the opening followed by a month on the walls ☺️
