📢 THIS IS OUR LAST WEEKEND…

…FOR A LITTLE WHILE 📢

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we’re closing our doors on Sunday night to reset and reconfigure our business.

This is not a permanent goodbye, it’s a pause, a shake up and a new beginning.

We, like everyone, have been hit with crippling costs and hard hitting times, we are incredibly sad to pause right now but this is a must for us to be able to continue in any capacity.

We thank you all for supporting, visiting and returning - each and every single one of you have made our dream and exhaustion worthwhile.

We look forward to you joining us in our exciting future.

The Big Fat F #€k Cancer Quiz 💚

Join us for a very special fundraising event on the 17th of May:

Last year our dear dear friend, Heather ( ), after suffering from terrible ill health her whole life, was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer (that equals terminal BTW) at the age of just 37.

Heather, one of the sweetest, most compassionate and selfless souls you could ever wish to meet has two young sons, a wonderful husband and an incredible group of friends and family who all want/need to keep her around for as long as they possibly can...
..the good news is that a drug called Bevacizumab (Avastin) has significantly beneficial results for colorectal cancer patients and Heather is taking to it well, however, devastatingly, N.I.C.E. guidelines do not currently deem it to be cost effective for this particular cancer so it is costing £500 a fortnight to keep her on it. For this, funds need to be raised!

So we present The Big Fat F #€k Cancer Quiz Night @ Meat Is Dead

Entry to the Daft Quiz - 1st prize £100 cash (or Meat is Dead Credit if preferred)

One raffle ticket for which several great (some ecclectic) prizes have been donated from local businesses, artists and beyond

🔈 SUNDAY JAZZ AND QUIZ 🔈

We’re super excited to announce our regular Sunday resident pianist - Maisie Finn. Expect Jazz and Contemporary feel-good classics from 6pm EVERY week (see details below).

To make Sundays even more awesome, we’ll be running our quiz EVERY Sunday straight after the tunes at 8pm. We have a grand prize of £40 for the winners and random prizes at the quizmasters will - suitable for all abilities!

BOOK NOW TO GUARANTEE A PLACE! Walk-ins also welcomed.

Maisie Finn is an accomplished pianist performing a wide range of genres including jazz, funk and soul and neo-classical. Having studied at LCoM (now Leeds Conservatoire) she has gone on to perform at various venues across the city, including a Saturday night residency at The Wardrobe. Expect to hear smooth classics from the likes of Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra alongside contemporary pop classics in delicious jazzy arrangements.

We changed our opening days recently and soon we plan to announce some menu/venue changes, be assured our familiar Thursday-Sunday vibe will remain a constant!

We’re a super relaxed bar and food place and aim to make you welcome and at ease, whoever, whenever.

Use our space as you please - meets/eats/drinks/work/solo/friends/party/events (of course, some times are better suited for work and play ☺️)
