🎄 THE C-WORD. 🎄

We know.

It’s August.

Nobody wants to talk about it yet.

But unfortunately some of you frighteningly organised people are already asking us about the C-word.

So, reluctantly, we’ve done it.
CHRISTMAS 2026 AT THE DRAWING BOARD IS NOW LIVE.
There. We said it.

The new menu is up on our website #, the booking diary is open and we’ve been cocking about with festive food for months so you don’t have to think about it until December.

Expect proper Christmas dinner, pigs in blankets, evil sprouts and all the bits that would cause a family argument if we left them out — alongside plenty of distinctly DB alternatives involving Chicken & waffle, duck, cod, prawn cocktail and other festive-ish nonsense.

Office parties. Family gatherings. Mates who haven’t managed to organise a night out since last Christmas. People you work with all year but only discover are absolute liabilities after three glasses of w**e.

The C-word is officially happening.

Then we can all agree not to mention the C-word again until at least November.

🚧 WE ARE OPEN THIS SUNDAY! 🚧

We’re already getting cancellations due to the road closures for the Women’s Tour of Britain this Sunday.

THE DRAWING BOARD IS OPEN.

Yes, there are road closures around us.
Yes, parking will be more limited than usual.

But you can still get to us on foot and we are very much OPEN for business.

We’d actually planned to turn a bit of a s**t situation into something rather brilliant and hold a DB ROAD BLOCK PARTY outside the pub.

Bands. Outdoor bar. themagicwingdom bus. Tables in the street. A proper little party making the most of having the roads closed around us.

Unfortunately, the Council has said we can’t do it.

So, just to recap...
The roads and parking around us are disrupted for the event.

The Council has created a Fan Zone in the Pump Room Gardens with food and drink traders and is actively encouraging visitors there.

We aren’t allowed to put on our own event outside the pub to help compensate for that disruption.

And we’re now losing existing bookings because customers understandably think they can’t get to us.

Apparently this is good for local hospitality. We’re struggling to see how.

Anyway...
Inside the DB it’s very much BUSINESS AS UNUSUAL:

🍺 Cold beers 
🍷 Chilled w**es 
🍽️ Sunday roasts 
😏 Sarcastic cheer 
🔥 All the usual DB nonsense

So if you’re coming into Leamington for the cycling — or just fancy a Sunday roast and a pint — PLEASE DON’T ASSUME WE’RE CLOSED.
