Well, Cubbington. What a weekend! ❤️

We’re genuinely blown away by the support we’ve received since opening on Thursday.

To everyone who popped in, brought friends and family, shared our posts, sent lovely messages or simply wished us well, thank you. It means more than you know.

We know The King’s Head holds a lot of memories for a lot of people, and we don’t take that lightly. Seeing the pub full of life, hearing the laughter and meeting so many of you over the weekend has meant more than you probably realise.

And a huge thank you to our brilliant team, who’ve worked their socks off to get us here and kept smiling through an incredibly busy first weekend. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We’re only just getting started, but you’ve given us a first weekend we’ll never forget.

You loved them so much, they’re back for round two! 🍕🔥

Iron & Fire are joining us again tonight, this time serving up homemade wood-fired flatbreads!

Choose from pulled pork, chicken or halloumi, loaded with house slaw, relish, Parmesan and sauces. 🤤

They’ll be firing up from around 6pm, so grab your friends, come down for a drink and let someone else sort dinner!

One more sleep, Cubbington! 👑🍻

Tomorrow’s the day, and we couldn’t be more excited (or nervous!) to finally welcome you to The King’s Head!

We’re opening from 3pm tomorrow, Thursday 29th October, and we’d love to see as many of you as possible.

Whether you’re first through the door tomorrow, popping in for a Friday night pint or joining us over the weekend, we’d love you to come and say hello.

We’re looking forward to meeting new faces, catching up with familiar ones and hopefully making The King’s Head somewhere you’ll want to keep coming back to.

A village pub is only as good as the people who fill it, and that’s where you come in. So come on, Cubbington, let’s give The King’s Head a first weekend to remember! 🍻

The King’s Head is opening Thursday 29th October at 3pm!

We’ve been busy behind the scenes, putting our own touches on the pub and getting everything ready for the next chapter.

There’s still plenty we want to do, and we’ll keep making changes as we go. But we’ve reached a point where we’re happy to open the doors, and quite frankly, we’d much rather have a pub full of people than keep you waiting any longer!

Food will follow, we promise! We’re working on getting that side of things ready too, but for now, let’s get the drinks flowing and the pub buzzing again.

The King’s Head has always been a village pub, and that’s exactly what we want it to be. A place for familiar faces, new faces, good drinks and good company.

The work will continue, but for now, let’s get your pub open!

We can finally confirm Cubbington’s worst kept secret… we’ve got the keys to The King’s Head.

Pete and Matt, are taking it on, and we’re really excited about what comes next.

More than anything, we want this to be a proper village pub again. A place for the community, where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re popping in for a pint, bringing the family, meeting friends, having some food or just fancy a chat at the bar.

This is your pub, and the aim is to bring it back to you.

We’ve got lots of ideas and plenty of work to do, but we want the community to be part of the journey with us. We’ll be sharing updates as we go and we can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you in.

Important announcement

Following the sudden and untimely passing of Sharon last month, Wayne has made the difficult decision to take early retirement and close The Kings Head pub with immediate effect.

Owning and running The Kings Head Pub has been a pleasure and a fundermental part of our family.

Over the years, it has been far more than just a place of business - it has been a community, filled with friendship, and countless cherished memories.

I would like to extend my sincere our thanks to all of our customers and staff , past and present for your loyalty, support, and companionship over the years. You have truly made this pub what it is, and we will always be grateful.
