Important announcement

Following the sudden and untimely passing of Sharon last month, Wayne has made the difficult decision to take early retirement and close The Kings Head pub with immediate effect.

Owning and running The Kings Head Pub has been a pleasure and a fundermental part of our family.

Over the years, it has been far more than just a place of business - it has been a community, filled with friendship, and countless cherished memories.

I would like to extend my sincere our thanks to all of our customers and staff , past and present for your loyalty, support, and companionship over the years. You have truly made this pub what it is, and we will always be grateful.

Just a reminder it’s Sharon’s Celebration of Life service this week on Friday 27th March at 2:30 being held at St Mary’s Church in Cubbington. We will then welcome everyone back to the Kings Head Cubbington for light refreshments and a drink or 2 in Sharon’s memory, also to remember all the great times we shared.

There is no such dress code, Sharon wouldn’t have wanted everyone to make a fuss so please come in your finest ‘Pub Outfits’ - that’s how Sharon would’ve seen many of you on a regular basis.

I just want to thank everybody who has sent their condolences and has helped us navigate this tricky / unprecedented time.

We look forward to hearing your stories and memories of Sharon on Friday.

(The Pub will be shut at 2pm until the end of the service)

A big congratulations to Sue’s in Charge, who took the top spot at last week’s Charity Quiz Night at The Kings Head 🏆

Thanks to everyone who came along, they helped raise a fantastic £114 for The Stroke Association - a charity that means a great deal to us here at The Kings Head. The support shown on the night was truly appreciated, and it was a lovely way for our community to come together for such an important cause. 💜

As always, a huge thank you to everyone who joined in, donated, guessed (sometimes wildly!) and helped make it another brilliant evening.

Sharon Quinlan

Hi All,

Firstly I’d like to thank each and every one of you that has reached out over the past couple of days regarding the passing of Sharon. The support, friendship and love shown, has been unwavering.

Sharon’s wishes were to never have a formal funeral as she never wanted the ‘fuss’. We have decided to honour that as such and have chosen to have a Celebration of Sharon’s life service at St Mary’s Church in Cubbington. We deemed it fitting there should be a send off for Sharon but keeping within her wishes. So we ask you all to attend in your finest ‘Pub going outfits’ the sort of clothes Sharon would’ve seen you wearing in the pub.

The Celebration of Life service is taking place on Friday 27th March at 2:30pm. It will then be back to the Kings Head Cubbington for one last drink, or seven. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible.
