☀️ Pro's Day for the Ladies – Sunshine, Smiles & The Stableford Appreciation Society😉!!! ☀️

The ladies of Cairndhu enjoyed a fantastic day in the sunshine at Wayne Telford's Pro's Day on Thursday.
The weather was perfect, the course was in great condition, the company was excellent, and Wayne provided a superb prize table.

Lady Captain Karen Lilley thanked Wayne for all his hard work, organisation, and generosity in sponsoring the prizes. It was very much appreciated by all the ladies.

However, it would be fair to say that Wayne's popularity took a slight dip when the ladies discovered the competition was being played as Strokeplay!

There were rumours of a petition, several requests for a recount, and at least one suggestion that Stableford should be written into the Club Constitution!!!
Every lost ball, three-putt and bunker visit was apparently "all Wayne's fault" — although strangely every good shot was entirely down to the player involved!

Thankfully, the sunshine, prizes, and refreshments helped calm the rebellion, and by the end of the day everyone agreed they had a wonderful time.

Many thanks again to Wayne for a brilliant day. The ladies are already looking forward to next year's event... although they've politely requested that the word Strokeplay is never mentioned again!!!

Congratulations to our 2025 Captain, Aiden Hegarty, who in his year in office raised the incredible amount of £2515 for his nominated charity, Dementia NI. The money was raised by a raffle and auction held on his Captain's Day, plus the 'magnetic' charity bunker at the 9th, which claimed many a victim throughout the course of the year!!!

Liz, Dementia NI Ambassador for the day, also took the opportunity to thank the Club for their kindness and generosity and that the donation was greatly appreciated and will help make a positive difference to those they support. 🙏
