Hi folks. Just a wee reminder of Gala weekend entertainment in the Haakon with Alfie & Elvis on Friday evening 9.30pm.
On Saturday we close early (9pm last orders) to support the gala dance, which kicks off at 9pm in the village hall with local trad band Falasgair. If you're planning going, please remember it's CASH ONLY, so bring plenty readies with you. The Haakon will NOT be doing cashback on the night - we don't carry much cash these days.

Hi guys. Kyleakin Gala thisweekend, starting with the kids disco and quiz in the community hall on Friday evening. Later Friday night we've live music in the Haakon with singer/guitarist Alfie and his mate Elvis. Hope a few of you can get along to kick off the gala weekend in style.
On Sat 15th we'll be closing the bar early (last orders 9pm) and heading along to the gala dance in the community hall for some upbeat local trad music and dance. It'll be a hoot, and it raises money for local causes and clubs, so get yourselves along for a great night. Slainte, KHB

Hi folks. We're all gripped wi' World Cup fever - next big one is Scotland v Morocco this Friday, 19th June, kick-off 11.00pm. Timing a wee bit more civilised, so hopefully we'll remember more of this one - if we want to!
Then on Saturday 20th we have a wee interlude in the footie wi' some live music, the awesome Alfie wi' a crowd-pleasing playlist followed by the evergreen Elvis wi' a few nostalgic hits by the king. A chance to settle the nerves and regroup for the next one. Slainte, KHB

Hi folks. Opening game tonight, kick-off 8pm, so we'll be drawing the pub sweepstake just before and showing the opening ceremony and the match.
On Saturday night we'll have the Brazil v Morocco match kicking off 11pm then we're open right through til 4am in the morning for any true fans who want to see our boys kick off the tournament in style - kick-off is 2am, should finish before 4am.
Make sure you've somewhere to kip or a lift home, coz we'll be kicking you out then!!! C'mon SCOTLAND, Slainte KHB

Hi folks. Last warm-up match for the lads tonight and we'll be showing the game in the bar, kick-off 9pm. Prior to that, from 5pm, we'll have hot snacks available in the bar for friends of the late Eddie Tipping. Eddie was a big character in the community, and a member of the Tartan Army, and his wish was for his friends to join together in the pub to share memories, football and otherwise.
