Helgi’s design takes inspiration from Orkney’s Viking past - a traditional pub with a slate floor and wooden panelled walls - it’s small but perfectly formed. The ground floor bar is well stocked with draft and bottled beers, wines and spirits plus a good selection of malts. We also pride ourselves on our extensive cocktail list, which features many of our own creations as well as old favourites.

Helgi's is strictly over 18's only, and provides the perfect setting for adults to wind down and relax, whether it’s a lunch time catch up with friends, a teatime pint with colleagues or a celebration with family. Our upstairs seating area can also be booked privately for functions. Our menu has evolved greatly since we first opened in 2009, but we still stick to our original ethos of producing quality comfort food which is homemade using as much locally sourced produce as possible. Now, under the leadership of Head Chef Magnus Flett and his hard-working team, we think our menu caters for more tastes and more dietary requirements than ever before. So whether you are looking for a quiet daytime pint, a three-course meal or a spot to drop into on a night out, Helgi's has something to whet your appetite and satisfy your hunger!

⚠️ Booking Policy Reminder ⚠️

Due to an increasing number of late arrivals and no-shows, we'd like to remind all customers of our booking policy.

If you have not arrived within 15 minutes of your reservation time and have not contacted us, your booking will be marked as a no-show and your table will be released to other customers.

Unfortunately, we cannot continue to hold tables beyond this point, as it impacts other guests waiting to dine and the smooth running of our service.

If you know you're running late, please call us as soon as possible. We'll always do our best to help where we can.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you to Helgi's.
