Community is Everything
Myself and my wife Denise have now been your hosts in The Stanley for more than twenty years. We have been through a lot together in that time, creating many happy memories, sharing painful losses, raising lots of money for charity and welcoming many new guests through our doors to people who we now gladly call Our Friends.
We have seen many changes over the years, the smoking ban, the recession, refurbishments, and who’d have thought twenty years ago we would now be serving food and an ever growing wide range of quality cask ales!
But the one constant in all of our time here, is the wonderful sense of community that The Stanley enjoys and embraces. The friendliness, the support, the loyalty, the togetherness and the sheer pride of being part of a wonderful area with lovely people.
It is YOU that makes The Stanley what it is, it is YOU that keeps us going, it is YOU that makes us strive to be better and to do better for YOU.
