They say a good cocktail is an art form, but for me?
There is absolutely nothing better than watching someoneโ€™s face light up when I hand them a freshly poured drink.

But enough about the drinks for a second...
Let's talk about the guy making them!
Here are a few things you might not know about me:

๐Ÿ™๏ธ From the City to the CoastI
Iโ€™m a London boy at heart and lived down South for 50 years (wait, 50 you say? Yup, let's keep that number quiet!)

๐Ÿก I married a wonderful Dumfries girl, and we now call Kirkcudbright home. Honestly, since leaving my parents' house all those years ago, this is the very first place that has truly felt like home.

๐Ÿ’ผ Leaving the "Dark Side"
Before I was shaking up a storm for you lovely lot, I escaped the dark side of the corporate world. I packed my bags, headed to London, and formally trained as a Mixologist. Best decision ever!

๐Ÿฅƒ The Drink Line-up of The Ultimate Favourites:
A good, traditional Old Fashioned.
The best one I ever had was in Seville - I mean, if they can't get the best oranges, who can?
But I also have a serious soft spot for a glass of red wine.
So, if you want to see my face light up, ask me for a New York Sour - bourbon meets a red wine float. Pure magic.

๐Ÿ‘ถ Grandpa Duties (The Fun Stuff!)
I've got three amazing kids and four wicked grandchildren. And let me tell you, the best part of being a grandparent is doing all the naughty stuff you strictly forbade your own kids from doing! Sucking mash and having pea races off the plate? Absolute winners. Not my problem as I hand them back๐Ÿ˜‚

A double shift at the beautiful Domes by the Sea and what an evening it was!

Stunning surroundings, good weather (for the time being), two fantastic couples & of course, plenty of show stopping cocktails along the way.

But I think I might have fallen in love with the Fig Sourโ€ฆ

Rich, silky, beautifully balanced and seriously delicious.

Safe to say, this one might be making a few more appearances behind the bar! ๐Ÿ‘€
