🚨 A LITTLE FAT LOUIE'S ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨

We’re closed this Sunday as we’ve got a private event taking over the place — apparently people like having a party without the general public getting involved. 😂🍷

But fear not, w**e lovers… we’re open as normal Thursday, Friday & Saturday! 🥳

🍷 Thursday: Open as normal
🍷 Friday: Open as normal
🍷 Saturday: We’re open as normal, but the kitchen doesn’t get going until 3pm — so come for a drink before then, just don’t expect us to feed you. 😂

Then Sunday, we’ll be recovering from everyone else’s partying. 😉

🍷 THIS WEEKEND'S SPECIAL HAS ARRIVED… 🍷

Meet Passitivo Appassimento Primitivo from Puglia, Italy 🇮🇹

This one is made using a method called 'il giro del picciolo' where the vined are twisted so they grapes are allowed to partially dry and concentrate their sugars and flavours before fermentation. The result? A rich, juicy and gloriously smooth red with ripe plum, cherry, and redcurrant, a little spice from oak aging, finished off with that lovely velvety feel.

Basically, the grapes went on a little holiday, lost some water and came back more interesting 🍇

Perfect for a cosy weekend at Fat Louie's, preferably accompanied by something cheesy, something meaty, or absolutely nothing at all because you don't need an excuse for good w**e.

❤️ Employee of the Week? We Think So... ❤️

Meet Granny Wilma.

This friday, all of our usual kitchen staff were unavailable, so we recruited our oldest and wisest member of the team to help us out.

At the grand age of 84, and currently recovering from a fractured pelvis, she decided that sitting at home wasn't nearly as much fun as coming into Fat Louie's to lend a hand.

So on Friday, she proudly pulled on her Fat Louie's uniform and spent the evening as our Kitchen Porter... and what a shift she put in! Dishes were washed, glasses were polished, spirits were high, and she looked absolutely fabulous doing it.

Now, before anyone asks... yes, she was paid.
Her wages consisted of: 🍷 One well-earned glass of Grüner Veltliner. 🧀 A packet of cheese puffs. ❤️ Endless love and appreciation from all of us.

We're not sure she'll be applying for a full-time contract just yet, but we'd happily have her back behind the sink any day of the week.

Wilma, thank you for your hard work, your laughter, and for proving that age is just a number.

If you see her around Fat Louie's, be sure to say hello. She's a huge part of our family, and we're incredibly lucky to have her cheering us on.

We love you, Granny Wilma. ❤️🍷

This Week's Special... We've Swapped the Spritz for Something a Little Different! 🍷

We thought we'd shake things up this week.
Instead of our usual Special Spritz, we're pouring something that's a little bit special by the glass...

✨ Assyrtiko Verdejo 'Les Poiscailles' – Ournac Frères ✨

Crafted in the Minervois region of the Languedoc in the south of France, this unique blend brings together Assyrtiko—a grape originally from the Greek island of Santorini—and Verdejo, Spain's much-loved aromatic white variety, creating a wonderfully fresh and distinctive w**e.

A wonderfully fresh and vibrant white that brings together the crisp minerality of Assyrtiko with the aromatic lift of Verdejo. Expect zesty citrus, juicy green apple and pear, delicate white flowers and fragrant herbs, all wrapped up with a beautifully clean, refreshing and energizing finish that'll have you reaching for another sip.

⛳🍷 Fat Louie's Hits the Fairway! 🍷⛳

We're delighted to announce that Fat Louie's is proud to be sponsoring the Fat Louie's Senior Ladies Greensomes Open at Milnathort Golf Club on Wednesday 29th July.

We'd like to wish all of the players the very best of luck – may your drives be long, your putts be short, and your scorecards remain a closely guarded secret! 🏌️‍♀️😉

To celebrate, we'll be opening our doors this Wednesday from 5:00pm–9:00pm for drinks only.
