All the leaves are brown ... (and not because they've been frazzled by yet another heatwave!) and autumn is on its way. So as the leaves start to change colour and the evenings get darker, so does the beer!

We're starting with a glorious golden ale, this, ladies and gentlemen, is the wonderfully named Dunk! 🍺

A collaborative effort between Tiny Rebel and Titanic breweries, Dunk is described as a biscuit pale ale. We admit, we haven't tried dunking a biscuit in it (yet!), although as I type, I'm thinking a Lotus biscuit could go rather well!

Dunk is deceptive, and devilishly drinkable! You'd never think it was 4.8%, it finds its way home VERY easily!

A light golden beer with a big personality, bursting with fruity hop flavours, citrus notes, and a refreshing finish. Made with all American hops - Sterling, Amarillo, Centennial, Cascade and Chinook.

TINY REBEL/TITANIC DUNK - 4.8%

A collaboration between the Tiny Rebel and Titanic breweries, this is a beautiful biscuit brew designed for easy drinking. Expect a sweet, malty, tea coloured beast of a beer!

A New Cider and a New Lager have made their way onto the Tavern bar!!

Introducing Sharp's Cold River Cider and Pravha by Staropramen!!!

Cold River Cider is a 4.5% ABV medium-dry apple cider. It is made by Sharp's Brewery in Cornwall in partnership with the Aspall cyder house. This drink blends sharp culinary apples with West Country bittersweet apples and a hint of Cornish Sea Salt.

Pravha is a 4% ABV premium Czech-inspired pilsner-style lager brewed by Molson Coors using the expertise of Prague's Staropramen master brewers. It is designed to offer the bold, traditional flavour and gentle bitterness of a Czech pilsner with a lighter, crisp, and refreshing finish.

Monday - open from 5pm - NO FOOD

Tuesday - open from 5pm. Chess Club from 5pm - NO FOOD

Wednesday - open from 5pm, food served 5-9pm

Thursday - open from 5pm, food served 5-9pm. Plus, it's our Steak and a Drink Deal Night (just £16.50!) BOOKING ADVISED!

Friday - open from 5pm, food served 5-9pm

Saturday - open from 12 noon, food served 12-9pm, including our Snack Menu between 12-3pm, which features our wonderful cooked breakfast! (main menu also available all day!)

We will be opening from 5pm on Tuesdays from next week (28th July) onwards.

Our chess club is still taking place every week, just starting at 5pm instead of 4pm.

So going forth, we will be opening at 5pm Monday to Friday, and 12pm Saturday and Sunday.

Hey everybody!

Just a heads up that our lovely chef Mark J Tye is back from his summer holidays tomorrow (Wednesday 15th July) and will be cooking from 5pm! 🍽️

Also .... we're a FOOTBALL FREE ZONE! So if the World Cup ISN'T your thing, you can come here to escape! Of course, we wish the England team well, but we're keeping it telly free for a bit of peace and quiet if that's your thing!

We'll be open from 5pm as usual!

Hey everybody!

Just a heads up that there will be *NO FOOD* served this week as our lovely chef Mark J Tye is on his holidays!

He's picked a heck of a week as we're quite certain if he'd remained in the kitchen, HE would have cooked along with the food! 🥵🥵🥵

Normal service will resume on Wednesday 15th July!

In the meantime, the pub is open as usual!
