Hi everyone .. our Poppy Box has arrived at The Bell along with a Thank You letter and receipt for last year's collection ..
Sadly, over the years, due to people not bringing cash (which in small establishments including a pub helps us keep costs down) our total continues to dwindle .. Although the box now has a QR code for you to scan and make a donation via your phone, it's always good to pick that box up and give it a rattle so .. when you're 'popping' to pub next try to remember to put a quid in your pocket or whatever change you can find at home and let's get that total up again this year 🙏 .. Thank you 🌺

🍁🍁🍁🍁 HARVEST FESTIVAL UPDATE 🍁🍁🍁🍁
I've had a few people ask why I haven't started chasing them for something for our annual Harvest Festival Auction this year which we hold toward the end of October ..
Some people know that I have Emphysema (caused by around 40 years of smoking .. if you're considering stopping PLEASE do .. if I can stop anyone can and for goodness sake don't start Va**ng!! I'm sure in a few years time they'll be telling us that Va**ng has been proved to be a bigger killer than to***co 🤷‍♀️)
I'm due another operation on both lungs toward the end of October so we're postponing this year's auction until early 2027 .. possibly around April .. a Spring Auction .. why not!
So don't worry I'll be pestering all of you amazing supporters early in the New Year .. Thank you ❤️ xx

Well what a Fabulous Bank Holiday that was!!!
We had the Pie Lady for her monthly visit last Friday with her usual yummy pies, sausage rolls and pastries 🥮 ..
T F I Friday was a popular teatime as it is every Friday .. Happy Hour 5 til 7 is always a great start to the weekend 🍻 Will check with the Boss but I'm sure we'll be continuing that through September 🍻 ..
And then it was Bank Holiday Sunday .. Our Annual Bash Out The Back ... what can I say!
A huge thank you to D J Cole Boardley for kicking the afternoon off and playing some great tunes all afternoon/night 🎧 ..
To Snack Pot .. Dawn Wharam Donna Lyon for providing some fabulous food 🍔🍟 ..
To Jade Adams for providing our entertainment .. what a fabulous voice!! She is amazing!! 🎤
To the Viking lads and lasses coming to us to finish off their own Gala Day 🏈 ..
To our amazing bar staff Laura, Chloe and myself for working their socks off and putting up with you all 🙏 ..
And last but by no means least to everyone who came to support us and make it such a great night ..
You're all such a great crowd and we love seeing you all (well most of ya 🤔🤣) ❤
