Fruit would never have been the same the past five years without my wife Hayley. Putting up with my stupid hours, never seeing me while I worked every day, evening and weekend, coming in after her day job to do shifts when she was totally exhausted, sharing my passion for cleanliness, Craft Beer and customer service. Fruit would have genuinely never have made it without her patience and lack of inclination to divorce me...

The last supper. (Pretty decent, check against the original) Recent politics and media aside, this is a sincere message from the staff at Fruit. We love this space, it was created by people, not bricks and mortar. We’ll miss you all.

Bye Bye Chris (oh it’s me) It’s been a pleasure running Fruit (and this Instagram) for the last 5 years. I’ve spent around 16,000 hours in these four walls. Built friendships, memories, beer lists and hopefully a venue that Hull can be proud of. It’s a real shame when others don’t realise the value in the places and people we hold most dear. The aim was to make Fruit the most welcoming and interesting space I could and there’s a massive amount of people I couldn’t have done it without. You all know who you are. Ps. Rooftops are best left leaking x
