From tomorrow, things will look a little different down the lane. The Millbrook is wintering.
After our busiest ever summer and a winter that saw so many of you head our way, we’re taking some time to ease into 2026 and to plot a special return to our roots.
We’ll still be open for drinks every day, with the fire lit, the wine list long and the welcome as warm as ever. But the kitchen takes a slower pace, with dining proper only on Sundays.
We’ll be taking a brief hiatus from food, returning on Sunday 25th January with the Sundays we’re known for. Roasts people cross counties for, live music, long afternoons that tend to roll into evening.
From then onwards, Sunday lunches will continue weekly, along with a cosy food offering available daily in the pub, changing each week: warming chilli, hearty stews, pies full of our Shorthorn beef.
Our special monthly events will continue, each promising a very good reason to gather and a one-off menu inspired by what we’re growing and rearing right now. And for those planning special celebrations - be it a birthday, a winter reunion, or simply a Friday night with all your favourite people in one place - the pub will be available for private dining. More to come on that soon…
In true Devon style, we’re moving with the seasons. Slowing things down, before returning to full flow in spring, taking it back to our roots as the little pub with a big reputation for food. And more worth the journey than ever.
Until then, we hope you’ll join us in the bar and for Sundays that are worth waiting the whole week for.
