Lemon cake 🥲🥲🥲 with fresh flowers, sweets and chocolate on top. Nothing too babyish was the brief as its for a 17th birthday. Customers reaction was "it's bloody brilliant"

So after being let down right at the last minute my friend asked me if I would consider making her wedding cake, I've never made a wedding cake before nor have I ever used fresh flowers but I'm pretty happy with my first attempt. Introducing the Kate Ball special.... 2 tiers each with 4 layers of yummy sponge filled with buttercream, jam and fresh strawberries. Decorated with buttercream in a semi naked style topped with fresh flowers to compliment the bridal bouquet and colour scheme. I may have had to tell the bride to be off for thinking she would have time to collect her cake on the day she was getting married and she may have walked her dogs on her wedding morning but when you look as naturally beautiful as Kate does you don't need much time in hair and makeup. The venue looked beautiful and thoughout the whole process of baking and creating this cake all I kept thinking of was her hubby to be's comment when he had a taste of the dummy run cake..... "oh my god, I can't stop" 🤣🤣🤣 . Congratulations Mr and Mrs Ball a true fairytale ending for such a beautiful couple 👰‍♀️👫

**** PRICE INCREASE ****
To customers old and new unfortunately due to the rise of absolutely everything I was faced with a huge decision. Either shut up shop or continue but with a small price increase. Any cakes made from now on will be a minimum of £40. I've kept the prices super low whilst I was building the business up but was barely covering the cost of ingredients let alone covering my time which sometimes can be up to 8 hours per cake. Cheeky little chocolate cake whipped up this morning for one of my daughters teachers. 2 layer chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream in between and around the sides. Topped with chocolate buttons, dark chocolate chunks and milk,white and chocolate balls
