This all started after a really unproductive management meeting, an angry walk home with a stroller, and a phone call. It was a vent, and it became something so much more. I left a meeting feeling frustrated and annoyed, and the result was a rapid series of events that led to me opening a restaurant within 6 months. With no experience, equipment, staff or money. Myself and a friend managed to pull miracle after magic trick and on the 7th of october 2022, we threw the doors open to pings. We were fully booked out for an opening weekend that did not come without massive learning struggles. However, I feel that with limited everything, we managed to make a little slice of kilmarnock feel wanted and appreciated.
Now, we have closed the doors, turned off the oven, and sold our last pizza. It was a sad finish, however I feel it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Many always say "oh I could do that!" But I did. I have gave myself and more to making an impact. Id like to think I did just that.
With that, I would like to personally thank every member of staff that worked alongside me to make my dream come true. You have all done me so proud and I cannot thank you all enough.
To the customers who kept coming back, you're the reason I kept going for as long as I could. I have been honoured to be at your service. This was my greatest career achievement to date. And I wouldn't change it for anything.
I wish nothing but the greatest of you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
