It's been a blooming good start to the week!
1st, we have new card machines that state you've bought a pint from the Red Lion, not the Black Prince!
As many of you know, The Red Lion is part of a group, and we've been quietly gunning for greater independence for some time. That time has come.
We want to make the Red Lion the community hub you deserve. And whilst we've worked tirelessly to create and maintain the welcoming vibes, simultaneously wrestling the day-to-day logistics involved in keeping the pub afloat; we've struggled with the lack of investment this old building so badly requires.
So please accept this as a gesture of Step 1 in the Grand Plan: a card reader that correctly states exactly where you bought your drink from!
Hopefully this will quash the cancelled bank cards and the marital arguments ("you said you were at the Lion last night!")
But also as a show of our commitment; we truly, madly, deeply love this pub, and we're going to keep pushing forward as long as you're happy to keep coming.

2nd: Hawkstone, Bass and Caffreys will return this weekend. Soon Cruz Campo, Neck Oil and Inch's Riversider will be on the taps!
