Dear Club Members,

The Committee wishes all our members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope that you have visited the club recently and extended a warm welcome to our new Steward, Martin Trickett, who took over from Ian Hadwin at the beginning of November. We hope that Martin helps us to increase the popularity of the Club and we wish Ian all the best in his new business endeavour.

The Club will be open as usual on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve at lunchtime but closed on those evenings. It is,of course, closed on Christmas day and New Year's day but, most importantly, it is open on Boxing day lunchtime for us to get together over a drink. The exact hours over the festive period are posted on the noticeboard in the club.

May we take this opportunity to remind you that annual subscriptions are due in January. After very many years of keeping the subscription fixed at £40 (plus the £10 bar credit) we all agreed at the last AGM to raise the subscription to £50 (plus the £10 bar credit) so the total due now becomes £60.

May we also remind you of two social events in the run up to Christmas. The first is the quiz evening on Friday 13th December at 8 pm and the second is a "Shotgun" Snooker evening, which Mark Johnson has kindly agreed to organise on Monday 23rd December at 7:30 pm.
