💛 September is Su***de Prevention Month.
We just wanted to say something that’s really simple.
We’re a pub, yes. But we’re also a place where people come together. And sometimes, that matters more than we realise.
If you’re having a rubbish day, feeling lonely, got too much going on in your head, or you just don’t want to sit at home on your own — come and see us.
You don’t have to have a reason. You don’t have to talk about what’s bothering you. You can have a pint, a coffee, sit quietly, have a laugh with someone, or just be around people.
Sometimes it’s the smallest things that can make a difference. A familiar face. A quick chat. Someone asking how you are and actually meaning it.
So if you see someone you haven’t heard from for a while, give them a call. Ask them to pop out. Check in on your mates. You never know what someone might be carrying behind a smile.
And if that someone is you — our door is open. ❤️
The George & Dragon is more than just a pub. It’s a place where people know your name, where you can come as you are, and where there’s always someone about.
Look after each other. You never know how much a little kindness might mean. People should be kind always as we never really know what someone else is facing 🥰
