To every single person who joined us and supported us throughout the World Cup, we’re so grateful.

You filled the pub, brought the atmosphere and made every busy shift and late night worth it.

Running a pub isn’t always easy, but moments like these are exactly why we do it. Seeing our community come together to share the football, the celebrations and the drama reminded us what a local pub is all about.

Unfortunately this means there'll be no Free Pool Monday this week, but only because we're waiting for our new table to arrive.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️ NOT THE ENDING WE DREAMED OF… BUT WHAT A JOURNEY. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

For 80 minutes, we believed.

England gave everything, (another goal would have nice) but Argentina found a way back and our World Cup dream ended with a heartbreaking 2–1 defeat.

Of course we’re disappointed.... but we also want to take a moment to say the biggest thank you to every single person who joined us throughout this tournament.

From the first whistle to the final heartbreak, you packed the pub, filled the garden, raised the roof and created an atmosphere we’ll never forget.

We’ve laughed, celebrated, shouted, worried, lost our voices and poured more pints than we care to count! 🍻

It has been an absolute blast and a genuine pleasure to serve every one of you.
Thank you for your patience when the bar was busy, for bringing the energy and for choosing to experience these incredible nights with us at The Royal Oak.

England may not be bringing the trophy home...but the memories we’ve made here will stay with us for a very long time.

We hope to see you all again throughout the new football season. The screens will be on, the beer will be cold and your place at The Oak will be waiting. 🌳⚽

🍻❤️ A Little Thank You From Behind The Bar ❤️🍻

Saturday night was one of the biggest nights we've had at The Royal Oak.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England through to the Semi Finals.
🌳 A packed beer garden.
🍺 Pints flying out.
😊 Smiles all round.
🔥 Temperatures through the roof.

Through all of it, our little team kept going.

A huge thank you to:

The three of us have worked every World Cup match together, keeping the drinks flowing and making sure everyone was looked after and having a great time.

It gets busy.

It gets hot.

Sometimes we barely stop moving for hours.

But we smile, crack on, and do our best to make sure everyone leaves having had a brilliant night.

To everyone who was patient during the busy periods, cheered us on, and supported us throughout the evening — thank you.

The atmosphere you've all helped create has been something really special.

The beer garden was packed. The atmosphere was incredible. The nerves were unbearable.

The celebrations at full time were something special.
