Perched above the Ale Water (yes, really!) and looking out onto the beautiful Ancrum village green, the Cross Keys is a pub with heart, soul, extraordinary food and fantastic cask ale.

Like many small rural pubs, we have been struggling for the last few years, and regrettably, we have had to take the decision to close our doors permanently.

We’d like to thank all our loyal customers and staff who have supported us over the years. This is not a decision we have taken lightly.

Our wee LG finished her last shift with us this afternoon as she’s off to become a Dental Nurse. We are all incredibly proud of you and we will miss you! A lot!

I didn’t cry…….you did! (We both did).

In other news, that’s us officially closed until Friday January 16th at 4pm, so our Team can have a well earned break after a busy Festive Season!

We welcome little Quinn to our Pub!! Along with Tom and Merryl!! The most adorable patterdale cross! We love a Pub Dog!!

A reminder that we are super dog friendly……..and occasionally prefer them to people!!

We are closed for the next two days and are back open on Hogmany at 3pm!
