🍺🇩🇪 OKTOBERFEST IS COMING TO IWADE BARN! 🇩🇪🍺

Fancy a taste of Bavaria without having to travel too far? We’re bringing Oktoberfest to Iwade for an afternoon and evening of great food, great beer and great company! 🍻

📅 Saturday 26th September
⏰ 3pm – 9pm

There’ll be plenty to enjoy:

🌭 Hotdogs
🌭 Currywurst
🥨 Pretzels
🍺 Lots of German Beer

Get your friends together, dust off your lederhosen (optional! 😉) and come along for some proper Oktoberfest fun at the Barn.

Look what we have back in stock!

For those that have missed it, we have Anno Distillers Owler Rum being served from our next micropub if 30th May.

Since Anno distillers ceased, Canterbury Brewers at The Foundry Brew Pub have taken over the distilling, so we have managed to get some back in stock.

With a base of black treacle and the distinctive flavour of tonka beans, Anno’s Dark Spiced Rum takes you to a time of smugglers, their lanterns shining dimly against a rough seascape. Owlers operated in Kent, working at night and signalling with covert owl calls and secret signs. These smugglers transported valuable wool out of the country, a lifeline for farmers whose livelihoods had been destroyed by erratic export bans and heavy duties. The Owlers dodged both the Taxman and the local Dragoons, risking ex*****on to perform hard labour for twelve pence a day.

Fermented and distilled in Kent with a melange of botanicals and spices using a fusion of Caribbean and English brewing styles, Anno tuned Patience to replicate the smoothness and characteristic flavour of a Jamaican double-retort still, infused with American Oak and Kentish Applewood.
