Iron Acton High Street is closed, but access from the main road lights is completely unaffected.

The sunny beer garden is also completely unaffected, so you can still enjoy your pint in the sunshine ☀️ don’t take our word for it, come check yourself!

We’d like to share the details for the funeral service of Yvonne Bate, former landlady and owner of The Lamb.

Funeral service to be held at Hemel Hempstead Crematorium on Tuesday 26th May 2026 at 12:30pm.

We are sad to share that Yvonne Bate, former landlady and owner of The Lamb, passed away peacefully today after a long illness.

Yvonne has been a part of The Lamb’s story for a long time and we know lots of you will have fond memories of her.

Our thoughts are with her family ❤️

After months of rigorous training (and several escape attempts), we’re thrilled to announce our brand‑new village transport service:

🐏 “Ewe‑ber” — Sheep Rides Around the Village!

Perfect for nipping to the shop, arriving at the pub in style, or simply enjoying a leisurely trot with our highly motivated woolly team.

Bookings are strictly first‑come, first‑served. Helmets provided. Grass tips welcome.

(Please don’t actually try to ride the sheep. They’re unionised.)

Road back open!

Road closed from the traffic lights to the pub, still accessible from the High Street direction!

To reach the pub, continue to the second set of traffic lights into Iron Acton and turn left up the High Street. Follow the road all the way as it curves around and you’ll arrive at the pub.
