What is this all about then?
Contains Mild Peril is Ipswich’s longest running alternative comedy night. A showcase of pros, rising stars and every weird and wonderful thing in-between. Seats are limited! Guarantee yours by booking in advance or chance it and pay what you want on the door.
See you there!
Carl Denham
BOOKING POLICY: The philosophy of the night is to showcase a range of styles and voices. This means each line-up is carefully considered to give the audiences a broad comedy showcase and give each act the best opportunity to stand out. As a result, Contains Mild Peril is currently a curated, invitation-only night. That doesn’t mean you might not be perfect for the events if we’ve not seen you before. Best thing to do is email Terri at [email protected] and make it clear how you’ve heard about our night, who you are and what your act is. We especially like people that are bringing different perspectives, voices and styles to comedy who lean on the more alternative side. We’d also rather we dealt with you direct rather than your agents. The night normally features three acts on the first half doing between 5-20 minute spots and a headliner doing 20. We do on occasion have special nights for full hours and previews. Booking is normally done well in advance; it’s only one night a month so it might be some time before we find a night that’s suitable for you. We’ve been doing this for over four years now and have built a friendly, loyal crowd, meaning acts and audience alike are guaranteed an excellent evening.
