The Red Lion, Chelmondiston Restaurant Pub and accommodation The Red Lion is situated within the heart of the village Chelmondiston.

When we bought the Red Lion, it was a somewhat run-down village pub needing work. As a result, the Red Lion has received a substantial rebuild transforming it into a comfortable place to stop and eat, or just have a drink. We prefer not to use the term “gastropub”, it is a pub/restaurant serving good food in attractive surroundings, the beer is well looked after and the coffee is worth drinking.

In short, we hope to make the Red Lion everything a contemporary pub should be. As well as concentrating on the essentials such as the quality of food and service, the Red Lion has a large car park, outside patio dining in the summer months, and offers a spacious feel to the dining and bar areas with interior decorations and furniture that is stylish and contemporary.
