Well, we had a good run this year, keeping the bar open until the second week in November but last week Catherine here was our last customer as the next day the weather turned decidedly wintery with night time temperatures of -2C. So we are now closed until the spring, which hopefully will be early! This year Catherine, along with Cerys, Kimiko and Jemma were sent here by our good friends at:

Kimiko paid the bar a visit this evening and went straight for the Gold Label, at 7.5% she had better pace herself ☺️🍺

We now have a limited supply of Gold Label 'Special Beer'. Originally made by Tennents as a Barley Wine at 10% abv, it's now brewed at the reduced strength of 7.5% so can't really claim to be a true Barley Wine, however it's still a premium strength beer not short on flavour and is reminiscent of a Belgium style ale. It's certainly a tasty treat on a hot summer's evening 🍺

Our little garden bar is now well and truly closed for the winter period but will reopen as soon as the weather permits. Last year we were restocking with beer in late February thanks to an unseasonably warm spell so fingers crossed for an early spring! ☺️
