Sometimes there is nothing better than popping to the village pub to relax, unwind and be yourself, which is exactly what you can do here at The Star Inn. We are located in the pretty village of Ingatestone in the High Street, next to the church and opposite Pellinis Boutique. This lovely pub has oodles of history and some say its even haunted (although we personally have no evidence of that!!). Y

ou will find a welcoming atmosphere with a roaring log fire on chilly days, candle lit tables in the evenings, which is complimented by contemporary service. The food is amazing with some reworked English classics with creative and tasty touches. We look forward to seeing you very soon.

Mother’s Day weekend we are really looking forward to welcoming Paul Wood back to The Star Friday 13th March.

It’s always good to have options and this will be the perfect treat for mum. Tapas is being served from 6pm, and Paul’s first set will be at 7pm.
No need to book for drink just walk in to enjoy the vibes.

British Pie Week is the UK's annual tribute to its much-loved bakery culture – celebrating flaky pastry and rich fillings that make the humble pie a national icon.

Here at The Star no menu is complete without our legendary Chefs’ Pie. The problem we have is everyone has their favourite flavour, let us know yours?

“The pub” such little words for such a big part of the community, and everyone who is reading this has got a connection with us in some way.
Whether you’re a team member, supplier, customer, ex team member or part of the Ingatestone community. You’re all part of The Star Story (literally).
There is a threat that one day Liz will write her memoirs, I do hope that turns in to a promise. There is not a day that goes by where there isn’t a story worth telling or listening to.

Hospitality is challenging. More so now than ever (thanks to Rachel from accounts). However it is emotionally rewarding like you wouldn’t believe. We have the pleasure of being part of something very special.
A phase that is so poignant is “use it or loose it”. This could not be more true. All the time we have your support the lights stay on, so for that we are truly grateful.

It takes a lot of courage, strength and determination to run a successful business and the good news is Liz and Arthur have it in abundance. Today we raise a glass (champagne of course) to L&A who have been at The Star for an incredible 15 years!
Here’s to the laughter, the memories, and the community built under this roof. Thank you for 15 years of heartfelt dedication and good times. X
