👋 MEET YOUR NEW LANDLORD

Hi everyone, I thought it would be good to introduce myself.

I’m Zane, 34, and I’m really excited to be taking over The Borough Arms.

My promise is simple:

🍺 Good b**rs with 7 day line cleans and sold at fair prices
✨ A clean, warm & welcoming pub

🎶 Live music & Saturday night DJs with monthly artists on Friday nights.

☕ A place for everyone, whatever the occasion

Most importantly, I want The Borough to be somewhere people feel comfortable, have a laugh and want to come back to. My promise to you is that the music will be 60’s through to 90’s with the best of the 2000’s. I’m not massive on the recent songs that are played and want to give an older theme to what we offer our customers but in a modern style venue.

Can’t wait to welcome you all a lot of work is going off in the background to make this venue work and your support is something I won’t be able to thank enough ❤️

We’ve had so many requests asking if a familiar face will be returning to The Borough Arms — and we’re delighted to say YES!

Our priority is creating a venue where everyone can come in, relax and enjoy themselves knowing they’re in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment.

That starts from the moment you arrive — with a friendly face at the door, opening it for you, welcoming you into the pub and helping us make sure everyone has a great night.

The Borough Arms is proud to be partnering with Coffee Central, based locally in Giltbrook, bringing quality coffee to the heart of Ilkeston.

We’ll be introducing some fantastic daytime deals, alongside freshly made coffees and indulgent hot chocolates.

And when the colder nights arrive, we’ll be giving them a Borough twist with our Winter Warmers:

ARE YOU THE PERFECT FIT FOR US AT THE BOROUGH ARMS?

We’re looking for experienced bar staff to join us as we get ready to bring The Borough back!

Friendly service is our bare minimum expectation. We want people who genuinely enjoy talking to customers, creating a great atmosphere and making everyone feel welcome.

We’re going to be a busy, fast-paced bar, so you’ll need to be confident under pressure while keeping the bar and customer areas clean, tidy and inviting at all times.

Experience behind a bar is important, but so is your personality. Be friendly. Be approachable. Work hard. Look after our customers.

Weekend shifts available. Must be 18+.

THE BOROUGH IS BACK.

A PROPER PUB FOR PROPER PEOPLE.

Work is due to get underway at The Borough Arms, and we’re incredibly excited about what’s coming.

Our aim is simple: to bring Ilkeston a proper, friendly public house in the heart of the town centre — somewhere you can enjoy great drinks, good company and a welcoming atmosphere without paying over the odds.

☕ Daytime hot drink offers

But we’re not just changing the drinks range.

The Borough Arms will be undergoing a major refurbishment, including a brand-new cellar to make sure the b**r we serve is kept and poured at its very best.

We’ll also be bringing in comfortable fixed seating, warm lighting and an open fireplace, as well as resurfacing the floors, installing new toilets and giving the b**r garden a complete renovation.

We want The Borough to feel warm, comfortable and friendly — a pub where you can settle in by the fire for a pint, meet friends for a glass of w**e, watch the football or enjoy a later drink at the weekend.

During our later weekend hours, we’ll also have a smart-casual dress policy, with no joggers or man bags, helping us maintain the safe, relaxed atmosphere we want The Borough to be known for.

Great drinks. Great value. Comfortable surroundings. A safe and friendly place to drink.

There’s plenty of work ahead, but we genuinely believe anyone who joins us on this journey will be pleasantly surprised by what’s coming.
