As of yesterday, I am no longer running the Prince of Wales, Ilfracombe.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here, but that chapter has now come to an end. I will, however, soon be reopening The Bottom George in Combe Martin — so keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events and promos 👀
And do come and pay us a visit!

Thank you to all my customers, new and old. To the loyal faces who’ve followed me across various bars over the years, to those who were always good as gold, and even to those who were a pain in the backside — you’ve all made it memorable.

Also, a big thank you to our wonderful barmaids — Amy and Nina — for all your hard work, laughter, and fun throughout the summer, and to Lillia who joined us later in the season. And to Sasha, thank you for your endless nights of vocals and for organising our weekly acts.

May your 2026 be full of bad decisions and bad hangovers.

This weekend at the Prince we have a brilliant music lineup for you…the Hoodoo Man on Friday bringing you a foot stomping good time with some classic tunes on an acoustic guitar with some appearances from a harmonica.

On Saturday we have the incredible Luke Glover singing you through the night with some cracking rock tunes!

We’ve had some brilliant donations for the raffle for Jenson and Rhyan so far, including haircuts, hampers and meals out! But we aren’t stopping quite yet, if you know of any local businesses or people that may like to donate please do let us know and let’s raise as much money as possible!
